Itinerary description

On 9/14/10 we hiked the Boone Fork Trail which starts at Price Park picnic area. This is a 5 mile loop trail. If going counter clock-wise, then the first 1/3 of the hike you will follow the Boone Fork River. Many beaver damn, waterfalls and river scenery can be seen in this part of the trip. A very nice and interesting hike. You then part ways with the river and follow streams as you make your way to some higher elevations. Eventually you will arrive at a meadow with some views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Continuing on you pass through the Price Park campground and eventually make your way to the starting location. No part of this hike is overly strenuous, but it is a good five miles of hiking and there are some part where it makes you work a little!
