Itinerary description
Hike from La Quinta Cove to Lake Cahuilla via the Boo Hoof trail. Barrel cactus all along the trail, some great views of the valley in all directions. I'm finding the elevation gain calculated by Wikiloc aren't alway as accurate as the GPS, this hike was about 1800 ft elevation gain, 2000 ft decent. Long walk back to the pickup car but good time to visit.
