The path begins at the Bólstaðahlíðarrétt, a construct used by farmers of the area to sort through the sheep after collecting from the highlands. From there on it follows a dirt road up until an abandoned old house. Continue over the fence and through the valley to enjoy beautiful views while following along the river. Some hills will be climbed but the path mainly follows alongside the river. Be aware of the river crossing and consider bringing wading shoes. The path ends at a small parking area alongside road 1.

Kálfatjörn / The cursed lake
According to old stories, this lake is cursed and if anyone would go fishing there, something bad would happen on the farm that used to be in this valley. The sheep would die or the house would catch on fire.
