Itinerary description
Fantastic walk, rainforest, volcanic activity and one of the only two boiling lakes in the world. (It really boils!).
Hard work, took 6 hours to do just over 10km and we weren't hanging about, up then down then up and repeat until tired.
Needs a guide cos Valley of Desolation has many boiling springs, seriously hot mud and goes through periods with serious amounts of hydrogen sulphide. Good news is that guides are plentiful and full of local colour.
