Itinerary description
Nice, easy coastal hike with great views and some cool little beaches along the way and at the end. Animas is about 4 km and has about a dozen beach bar/restaurants. The section between Bocas and Animas is definitely more picturesque than the last part (another 3 km) to Quimixto.
However, Quimixto is a long, beautiful, quiet beach with only 2 or 3 restaurants and a nice feel. We finished there for a beer, a swim, and some quesadillas. You can hike a kilometre up to some waterfalls but we chose to relax and take a boat taxi back. We paid 70 pesos each but we had the boat to ourselves as it was a guy dropping off another group. If we had walked another 10 minutes or so to the actual dock we may have been able to get on a group taxi for slightly less (probably 40 or 50 pesos). The difference was pretty minor.

Muy bonita ruta recreativa entrando a la selva y costeando la playa, bonitas vistas al mar.
Premio al llegar a los restaurantes de la playa Las Ánimas (sin acceso carretero).
Taxi de bote de regreso. Vale la pena!! Cada vez q voy a PVallarta la visito.
