Itinerary description

chouf biosphere reserve is the biggest natural reserve in lebanon, it is very well maintained and it is very pleasant to hike inside it especially under the centenary cedar trees.
on this specific day we decided to enter the reserve from the ain zhalta entrance.
we started our hike form the entrance although its possible to continue a bit further by car, we decided to take the long trail reaching the panoramic view on top of the mountain, the trail is very well maintained all the way and most of it is between cedar trees with lot of shades, it is relatively moderate due to the big gain of altitude, on top of the mountain u are rewarded with an amazing 360 degree view all over the reserve, the coastline sannine , niha, most of the bekaa valley with jabal el cheikh.
