An affordable walk with excellent views of the Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest canyons in the world and which allows us to observe its most emblematic point: the Three Roundavels, three rounded mountains in the shape of the typical traditional African cabin.
The route is done within the Blyde River Resort, where you can access and park a ticket for a car. Start the walk down the asphalted track from inside the resort until you reach the Guinea Fowl trail, which gradually slopes towards the bottom of the canyon. Before reaching the end, we find the beautiful corner of The Pool, a natural pool where bathing is possible.
After that, we will start climbing the Leopard Trail, harder and shorter than the previous one, but with great views of the canyon. The final section has a strong slope, but soon it ends up reaching the viewpoint and returning to the track that shortly afterwards would lead us to the starting point.
