Circular on Lake Bled with ascent to the viewpoints of Osojnica and Ojstrica. Lake Bled is a glacial lake located in a picturesque setting, surrounded by forests and mountains. In the middle of the lake there is a natural island with a church, Cerkev Marijinega vnebovzetja / church of the Assumption, with a bell tower 52 meters high, and on the north shore the castle located on a cliff, it is a fairy tale lake of fairies
We start the walk from in front of the Vila Bled hotel, it seems that it had been one of Tito's residences, we follow the path that borders the lake until we find the signs that show us the way to the viewpoint of Mala Osojnica. We climb the steep trail that goes into the forest while making loops, some of the rockier parts are equipped with cables. We arrive at a long and straight metal staircase at the end of which there is a wooden bench with a magnificent view of the lake, an ideal place to regain strength after the steep climb.
Then we continue to ascend to the viewpoint of Mala Osojnica at an altitude of 685 meters. There is a metal railing and some benches, the place is very crowded, we take the photos of rigor and follow the route. We go to an open viewpoint to the south towards the core of Ribno and the Sava Bohinjska valley. We descend towards the Ojstrica lookout, we give up going to the Velika Osojnica as the views are obstructed by the trees, instead the Ojstrica, despite being lower, presents us with fantastic views over the lake. Once we have enjoyed the magnificent panoramas, we descend again to the shore of the lake by the circuit of the lake. We head towards Velika Zaka Bay where there are many people bathing, there is the Bled campsite. We arrive at the Bled Olympic Rowing Centre, in this area the path that borders the lake is called rowing walk. We pass by the foot of the cliff on which the castle is located, it is the bathing area of the Castle. We find a viewpoint over the lake with a heart-shaped frame, from where you can take an original photo framing the lake and the castle.
We've just turned the corner and go up to the Belvedere cafe, from the terrace we enjoy views of the lake and the castle. Let's finish the route.
