Itinerary description
We parked at Powers Bend on the Greendale/Trentham road, there is ample of off road parking, no amenities.
We followed the Daves Gully track ( not sign posted ), a steady climb up to the New Sultan track, turned left and followed this track to the Povey track, right here and follow to the end.
We had a bit of an explore at the bottom near the Lerderderg river looking for the grave site, finally found it on our way back, it's concealed by fallen trees and was easily missed. Heading down towards the river it's on the RHS between 2 large fallen trees.
We sat for awhile reflecting on the serenity of the area, then headed back up the steep climb.
There is so much destruction of the bush from the storms several years ago.
Overall a good hike Moderate to Difficult in places

Good job guys. I know what I’ll be doing next weekend ! Lol
Thanks Shazza, we nearly missed it, walked straight past it on the way down to the river, it's concealed by fallen trees, but on the way back, there it was, such a peaceful place, no wind today
I look forward to seeing it!
I love it out there. One of my favorite areas
