Itinerary description
Two Mile Falls or in local aboriginal Goodela (eagle) is a track that follows a made path from Horseshoe lookout carpark down to where Two Mile Creek breaks down the side of the Blackdown cliffs
The area is predominated by soft ferns around the gullies, eroded sandstone rock faces and the contrasting bushland of the open hardy vegetation.
Initially the track follows the roadway along past various sandstone cliffs. There are couple of points in this section that you get use out across the horseshoe escarpment. After following the track you eventually will head to two mile Creek where via a series of bridges you will navigate past the soft fern area around the creek.
The end of the one-way out hike concludes at appoint where Two mile creek heads off over the cliffs down Two mile Falls. There are great views at this point looking back at the cliff face of horseshoe lookout again.
All up an easy introductory hike that many people do upon their first visit to Blackdown Tablelands. This hike is normally done in conjunction with the small 100m trip to Horseshoe lookout. There are good BBQ facilities at Horseshoe Lookout and toilets.
