Itinerary description
This is a winter ascent to the 3 easy-peasy tops of Ararat region. This trail is for those who wants small hike close to Yerevan in snowy period.
Some information about this trail:
--- You start the hike from the road that leads to Landjar village ( Լանջառ ). You may leave your car close to the main highway there as this is partly a loop trail.
--- First we head to the mountain Aryuts 2175 m ( Առյուծ ), then to Dzntsaghik 2202 m ( Ձնծաղիկ ) and to the peak Gosablur 2420 m ( Գոսաբլուր ) at the end. On the way back we also hiked mountain Metssayl 2302 ( Մեծսայլ )․
--- After the highest peak of this trail we headed back by the parallel mountain range. There we saw a building for the aviation forecasts (do not know how to explain what they do there, as tbh even they could not normally explain it to us). And after that building it was a gravel road leading us to the highway.
--- If the weather had been nice, we would have reached Jrik mountain ( Ջրիկ լեռ ). So this is an idea for those who are into rough winter hikes.
--- Why I consider this trail only for winter hikes?
Because there are multiple better trails for the hikes when we do not have snow around.
And when I say winter in Ararat region it does not mean necessarily December, January and February. It means when we have snow there: usually from January till mid February (depends on season).
