Itinerary description
This is a pleasant circular tour starting and ending in Bingley, lasting just under two hours, which is useful as the car parks in Bingley seem to have a maximum stay time of two hours.
(I made an unsuccessful detour to find the Fairy Stone in the Cottingley Wood Estate.)
There is one point on the tour where the route is not at all clear: this is where the footpath slopes down steeply and you arrive at a junction of paths. The path you want is the middle one and is not immediately obvious as it passes through two walls, but the gap through the second wall is more noticeable. This leads to Ruin Bank Wood where Harden Grange Folly can be found, also known as Ferand's Folly - a highspot.
Another very attractive spot is where Beckfoot Lane crosses Harden Beck where there is an old packhorse bridge.
A lot of the tour follows the Millennium Way.
Finally, the tour finishes with a relaxing stroll along the banks of the River Aire back to the centre of Bingley.
