Itinerary description
This is a long a picturesque hiking route near Mandra tou Kampou picnic site.
It includes multiple forest roads and a portion of an organized trail.
I made a quick detour to the 'Vrysi tou Petrou' spring water fountain at 10.0km from start, and a very nice ancient farm site 'Mantra tou Klosmatou' at 10.5km from start.
The old farm site is engulfed by the river and a perfect place for a picnic.
At the 13.3km there's a stop by the Profitis Elias monastery.
I rate this route very difficult due to a number of steep climbs over fire routes. You can bypass several fire routes by taking a parallel forest road in order to make it an easier walk.
