Itinerary description
A nice walk which covers some of the South Cotswold hills around Biddestone. There are endless opportunities for extending or shortening the walk as there are footpaths everywhere.
Unfortunately, we got a bit lost in a field/woods (as will be obvious from the route - about 1.5 miles in). The signposting disappeared and we were enticed into going into the woods via what looked like a prominent trail. Don't make that mistake. Stay outside the woods on the edge of the field and you should be fine (although you may encounter a bull in one of the fields).
After that, it was simple to follow and the climbs were rewarded in excellent views across valleys. The trail conditions were pretty good despite recent rain but I suspect it will be quite muddy in places in winter months.
We did this walk in the evening and it was getting dark by the time we reached the car.
