Itinerary description
Great walk from the base of the gondola Queenstown.
I did it mid September in perfect conditions about 4 hrs up and 2.5 down with some short stops. I definitely appreciated a walking stick.
If you want to save yourself an hour (less on the way down) from each end of this walk take the gondola.
Tiki track is a steep but easy enough walk up through the forest. Then you reach the tourist area at the top of the gondola in which you follow the signs through the luge track and head through the pine forest behind it before the landscape beautifully opens up to some great mountain and lake views. From here the walk is pretty easy up towards the saddle path turn off where things get progressively steeper. Some mud was there along the way and patches of snow towards the end. Really rewarding getting up on the summit. 360 views. Easy to follow but had some sore legs the next day.

Amazing track. The tiki trail at first is quiet steep and the last part to the summit as well. Really worth it!
