Belgeis summit - قله بلقیس- تخت سلیمان و غار کرفتو از تکاب

This tracking involves the following programs:

1- Tekab sity visiting ( in kordestan province of Iran)

Takab (Persian: تكاب‎; Azeri: تیکان تپه ،Kurdish: تکاو) is a city in and the capital of Takab County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, Its ancient name was Shiz. The main spoken languages are Turkish and Azeri.

The famous historical complex Takht-e-Soleiman is situated to the North-East of the city (46 kilometers from tekab). Takht-e-Soleiman was one of Takab's oldest Zoroastrian fire temples during the Sassanid Dynasty and had the name Azargoshnasb. inside photos see their praying .

The primary occupation of residents is agriculture and carpeting. Other ancient places in Takab are Karaftoo Cave (غار کرفتو) on south west of tekab and located in Tekab - Divandare road.

The Cave of Karaftu is situated 64 km from Seqiz (and 12 km from the village of Kereftu). Strategically, this site connects the ancient road from Syria and Iraq, leading through Iran to Afghanistan, i.e. it is on the Silk Road. Throughout history, and yet till today, many caravans have passed through this road, endowing particular importance to this region. Many sites in the immediate surrounding of this rocky mountain have been found to be connected via various tunnels and corridors through the rocks. These complexes date back to 300 B.C., and belong to the Ashkanid dynasty. These have constituted a temple for Heracles (2000 years ago), and the name of this Greek god is carved on one of the walls of the third room, accompanied by a horse rider (hunting a deer) which is believed to illustrate Goudarz the Ashkanid king. Various war triumphs are also illustrated, and these are also believed to date back to the same historical era. The eminent Russian historian Tasit, claimed that these paintings illustrate the importance of this temple causing highly important triumph of Goudarz and Mehrdad the Ashkanid kings.

Entering these caves is still very difficult, as the entrances are placed on the heights of this steep mountain. The corridors are also difficult to pass through, as the sizes are constructed for strategical purposes. Some passages also maintain natural water wells, and many of the labyrinth-like corridors lead to important fireplaces (in the temple).

Investigating the paintings, have revealed that oil based colors have been used, and attached buildings in the various wings, are signs to an annexed village to the temple.

Zendan-e Soleyman ( زندان سلیمان, Prison of Solomon) is a cone-shaped hallow mountain in West Azarbaijan. It is located 3 kilometers west of Takht-e Soleyman archaeological site. The mountain is 97 to 107 m tall while its crater is 65 m wide and around 80 m deep. The crater was at one time full of water, fed by floor springs but it dried centuries ago. Also ruins of a prehistoric and a Median temple can be seen in the region.

Folk legends relate that King Solomon used to imprison monsters inside this crater hence the name Prison of Solomon or Zendan-e Soleyman.

Belgeis summit located just in north of Takhte soleyman with about 5 kilometers distance and in the east of Geinarje village.

The program was started on 14 khordad 1393, June 2014, with 20 trackers early morning from Tabriz and we visited Thakhte soleyman and then Soleymanye zendan (prison) as well as its lake and at the end of day we went mineral hot-water of this area for resting and sleeping.

The next day (15) begins with hiking of Belgeis summit, ( not so difficult ) the summit getting needs at most 3 hours and total hiking can done in 4-5 hours, and evening followed with karaftu cave visiting in south west of tekab, and the night we were Takab city.

Next day (16) the program continued with moving island visiting , that is a floating and non stable island, with 80 meters square on east of Takab with 20 kilometers distance. our leader was Sarhang Mogadam ( سرهنگ مقدم ).

تخت سلیمان(آتشکده آذرگشنسب) نام محوطهٔ تاریخی بزرگی، در نزدیکی تَکاب و روستای تخت سلیمان (در گذشته نصرت‌آباد) در استان آذربایجان غربی و ۴۵ کیلومتری شمال شرقی این شهر است. تخت سلیمان بزرگترین مرکز آموزشی، مذهبی، اجتماعی و عبادتگاه ایرانیان در قبل از اسلام به شمار می‌رفت اما در سال ۶۲۴ میلادی و در حمله هراکلیوس، امپراتور رومیان به ایران تخریب شد. آبا قاخان برادر زاده هلاکو خان که به دین اسلام گرویده بود بر روی ویرانه‌های تخت سلیمان مسجدی بنا کرد که آن نیز بعدها ویران شد و تنها کاشی‌هایی با نقوش و خط برجسته از آن به جا مانده است که در حال حاضر موزه رضا عباسی نگهداری می‌شود.

شهر باستانی گزنک یا تخت سلیمان در ادوار مختلف محل سکونت اقوامی مانند، مادها، هخامنشیان، اشکانیان، ساسانیان و مغولان بوده و در هر یک از دورانهای فوق، این محل
در اوج قدرت و تمدن زمان مربوط بخود بوده‌است.

در زمان ساسانیان ایرانیان سه آتشگاه بزرگ و برجسته داشتند. نام آتش‌هایی که در این
آتشگاه‌ها نگهداری می‌شد. یکی بُرزین مهر به معنای آتش عشق والا و ویژه برزیگران بود که در نزدیکی نیشابور خراسان جای داشت.

دومی فَربغ بود به معنای آتش فرّ ایزدی که در کاریان فارس و ویژه موبدان و بلندپایگان بود.

سومی آتشکده آذرگشسپ که در تکاب آذربایجان قرار داشت. آتشکده آذرگسسپ ویژه ارتشیان بود و در شهر و محلی بنام شیز یا گَنجَک بر روی کوه اَسنَوند قرار داشت.

آذرگشنسپ به معنای آتش اسب نر است. بر پایهٔ افسانه‌های ایرانی این آتشگاه بدین علت این طور نامیده شده‌است که کیخسرو بهنگام گشودن بهمن دژ در نیمروز با تیرگی شبانه که دیوان با جادوی خود پدید آورده بودند روبرو شد. آنگاه آتشی بر یال اسب وی فرود آمد و جهان را دیگر باره روشن کرد و کیخسرو پس از پیروزی و گشودن بهمن دژ، به پاس این یاوری اهورایی، آتش فرود آمده را آنجا بنشاند و آن آتش و جایگاه به نام آتش اسب نر (گشسب یا گشنسب) نامیده شد. این محل هم اکنون نام تخت سلیمان نام دارد.


مجموعه بناهای تاریخی در تخت سلیمان در اطراف دریاچه‌ای طبیعی ساخته شده‌است. آب این دریاچه که از عمق ۱۱۶ متری از درون زمین به سطح می‌آید و به زمین‌های اطراف می‌ریزد دارای املاح زیادی است که آن را برای آشامیدن و کشاورزی نامناسب کرده‌است. رسوب‌های حاصل از این املاح در طی قرن‌ها، لبه دریاچه را شکل داده و متغیر کرده‌است.

آثار بناهای دوره‌های اشکانیان و ساسانی و ایلخانان مغول در این محل یافت شده‌است. مهم‌ترین آثار بجا مانده آن آتشکده و تالارهای دوره ساسانی است. برخی آثار ساسانی دیگر نیز در کوه بلقیس و زندان سلیمان در نزدیکی تخت سلیمان ساخته شده‌است. کاوشگاه باستانی شیز از سوی یونسکو به عنوان میراث جهانی شناخته شده‌است و طرحهای بزرگی برای بازسازی و کاوش در آن در دست اجرا است
