Itinerary description
Paid £7 to park for 7 hours (in the now infamous car park).
Set off up the new path that zig zags up towards the “Cobbler” (famous Corbett). We soon pick up the old path which cuts across to join the rocky ridge leading to Beinn Narnain. Not long before we entered the mist to wind our way through the rocky crags and around the ‘spearhead’ buttress to the summit trig point. This would have been an excellent walk in good conditions. Very windy on top and no views.
Took a bearing to pick up the well made stepped path taking us down out of the clouds to the bealach. We headed over to the base of Beinn Ime to rise up into the clouds on the rather wet grassy slopes to the summit. Some snow remaining, but no issues. Windy on top, but no views to be had. We returned to the bealach to join the good path leading back to the car. The weather started to clear up on the way down.
