Itinerary description

Exploring the Hidden Oasis and the Shahha Village after the rainy days in UAE

This is a Moderate level trail, with the mix of off road, trail path, stairs etc.
Going upto hidden oasis is Easy plus level, but when you extend to Shahha village then it is gaining more elevation and becoming moderate level hike.

We started from the Jebel Jais Via Ferrata / Bear Grylls (Wadi Khammed) just before the sunrise.. Following the off road path (Way Point-1)which is recently made up to 3km.. Then there is a well laid trail path heading towards the Hidden Oasis (Way Point-2).. After about 1.5km, we reached the beautiful oasis.. a flat field with eye soothing lush green surrounded by mountains.. Up to this point the hike is easy+ level having mix of off road and trail path with gradual elevation gain.. So who ever just looking for Hidden Oasis can come and return back through the same way.. In total it will be 9 - 10km hike.

Going to the Shahha village on top of the oasis is gaining more elevation with a number of stairs to climb (Way Point-3).. Its not that tough but comparing to the way upto hidden oasis, it is sudden elevation gain..

But the view form the top is worth climbing up, the real beauty of the oasis is when you see it from the top..

Points to note:
- Mobile network is available in most areas
- Greenery in the hidden oasis is subject to rain / season
- Hike starting point is accessible with sedan cars
- I have seen some people taking their cars through the off road and then park next to the dam before the trail path, please note that the road is only accessible for construction vehicles and they clearly mentioned it in the signboard. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARS TO THE CONSTRUCTION AREA
- keep enough water / electrolytes etc. according to the climate
- NO LITTERING PLEASE

Hi Aisha, It will depend on your speed, endurance and the resting time you take...

For a moderate hiker, you can consider my elapsed time around 4-5 hours..
