Itinerary description
Bay Circuit Trail from Walpole St in Sharon to Main St in Walpole.
Trail climbs Pierce Hill off Walpole St. Fairly steep climb but short. Top of hill has a small rocky section. After descending the hill trail follows Old Post Rd which becomes Pine St. Turns down South Walpole St which takes you over highway. S. Walpole street is pleasant but narrow. At end of street you cross route 1. On other side of route 1 trail turns off through an industrial park.
Trail follows power lines for a very short distance and then turns into Walpole Town Forrest. Trails are well kept here but bct markers can be hard to follow with lots of intersecting trails.
Trail exits woods behind the high school. The remainder of the trail to Main St alternates between streets and parks.
