Itinerary description
This was done about 2 years after the fires (6-Nov-2021) and because Batsh Camp has been closed for so long, both it and the track have almost disappeared. The only way we knew where to start was a sign indicating the beginning of the Uni Rover Trail. After that it was all untracked navigation except for some very unclear bits of the old road it used to be. Lots of regrowth in the valleys forced us up higher in places. The track down Acetylene Spur did not exist as such and we sidled down to the river about 500 metres down Lannigans Creek from where it was supposed to come out. Mossy Camp was also overgrown on both sides on the creek so we camped on a flood island right at the mouth of the creek next to the Kowmung Riiver. The Roman Baths at 56s 233037E 6220945N was lovely and there were several other beautiful pools along the way. Lots of small trout in the remaining pools was also a delight.
