This circular route of low difficulty runs through the Cindrel Mountains, in the Southern Carpathians. It is located near Cindrel Natural Park.
We move to Paltinis, the oldest ski station in Romania as well as the highest
We start from Cabana Nora on the dirt road on the right. After a few meters we see the indication Saua Batrana and the marks of a red cross, a path to the right that goes into the forest. Little by little it continues ascending continuously and smoothly. We leave the forest behind to go out to a more open area of trees and where the low scrub is abundant. From this point you can observe our objective, the nearby Batrana peak, which we reached without much effort. We continue towards a viewpoint on this same plateau with spectacular views. We continue advancing until we reach a forest track that descends again into the forest and leads us back to the ski resort.
