Itinerary description

Von der kleiner Bucht von Povil geht es durch den Ortskern Richtung Ortsausgang/Osten. Anfangs Straßen entlang geht der Weg bald in einen steinigen Wanderweg über ( Wanderschuhe werden empfohlen! ). Die Aussicht über Povil, das Meer und weiter Orte wird immer besser und auch die Ruinen von Ledenice zwigen sich langsam. Before es zur letzten Steigung kommt geht der Wanderweg wieder zu einem großen Weg über. Hier ist es etwas schwerer den davon abzeigenden Weg zu finden ( Am besten an die GPS route halten ). Nach dem letzten Anstieg ist man schließlich am Autoparkplatz Gradina angekommen. Zu rechter Seite geht es zu den Kastell Ledenice Ruinen und zur Linken zum Okruglo Globlje Friedhof und zum Ausguck. Die Wanderung geht ca. 1 1/2 Stunden und ist auch bei starker Sonne nicht zu unterschätzen.

From the Town center of Powil the way leads to the townborder direction east. In the beginning on normal streets and later on stony hike paths ( hiking boots are recommended! ). The view above Povil, the sea and other towns is getting better and better and also the bastion of Ledenice finds its shape slowly. Before the last gradient the path joins a bigger street again. From this point its harder to find the following small path ( I recommend to use here the GPS to find the trail ). After the last bit you arrive at the parking lot of Gradina. On the right hand side are the ruins of Kastell Ledenice and on the left hand side is the graveyard of Okruglo Globlje and the view point. The hike takes about 1 1/2 hours and shouldn't be underestimated, especially in summer time.
