Itinerary description
The Base Torres trek is a guided group trek. When you all get together, the guide gives you the poles and explains the route.
From Puerto Natales, it takes two hours by minibus to the entrance of Torres del Paine Park. Once you get there, the route starts towards the sector of Hosteria las Torres. This stretch is about 4 hours where you cross the Ascensio Valley and a lenga forest. You can also see the Almirante Nieto hill. At the end of this section there is a steep ascent to the Base Torres viewpoint. The descent takes approximately 3 hours.
In total there are about 20 kilometers with a maximum altitude of 870 meters above sea level and it takes about 8 hours from start to finish.
