Itinerary description
This route is for an intermediate to experienced hiker. There are some tough climbs but most of it is easy to walk. The walk is around 12 km long, circular and with about 460 meters of elevation.
The walk starts at the parking lot of the Cueves de Nerja, after which you walk about 650 meters inland. There we enter a path that takes us in a gorge between two mountains. Here we walk past many beautiful shallow caves and 2 dams.
At the end of the gorge is a beautiful huge cave. Here we walk up and we are halfway through the walk. We eat something at the picnic tables and then walk back to the car via a 4x4 road.
