Banjeer Baba

It was a sunny and clear day that we set out for the most awaited trek Banjeer Baba. We have plan too many times for Banjeer Baba but we miss and miss every time and didn't went on this trek due to too busy schedule. The day came 13th of April, 2019 we made a plan for Banjeer Baba and made all arrangements for the trek and 14th April, 2019 Sunday we started our journey from Mingora city to Barikot. At Barikot we took our breakfast with our friend and then travel to Najigram village. To Banjeer Baba there are many treks from different sides such as Barikot, Thana, Malakand, Char Kamar, Jehangir, Malkidam, Karakhar, Jowar Buner and Najigram Swat. At Najigram village we left our car and travel in 4x4 jeep up to Kabanj which is a jeep drop point and it will take 2 hours driver to reach Kabanj. You can also excess on foots to Kabanj from Najigram village which will take a lot of your time. It is preferred that you should take your own 4x4 jeep or hire 4x4 at Barikot Bazar which will cost Rs. 2000 to 3000, it will reduce time. On the way to Kabanj from Najigram you will be witness of a clean and crystal clear water stream follows towards Swat River and merge in river at Barikot. On both sides of road you will see lush green mountains and green fields and jeep will drop you at Kabanj. From where you will start you trek to Banjeer Baba in very dense forest of Bairanj trees. The day on which we trekked to Banjeer Baba was very pleasant and that was shower rainy day. In those days the weather conditions was hot in Mingora but we enjoy the trek a lot on that day. It will take 1hour and 30 mins to reach Kabanj top, that mesmerized your soul. On the top everywhere there is lush green pastures. At Kabanj top it's up to you because the there are two ways to reach Banjeer Baba, when you are facing towards the top on your right side there is a short trek to Banjeer Baba and on left side there is slightly lengthy trek to Banjeer Baba which you can sight different boundaries touching Valley Swat region. The left side trek from Kabanj top there are different places such as Momin pati, Koto Sar, Jowar top and boundary, Thana boundary. From Jowar boundary you can see Malakand top. The whole trek to Banjeer is in shadow of dense forest and it take 5 - 6 hours and you we'll reach Banjeer Baba shirne. The trek to Banjeer is almost moderate and there is no such steep ascends. From Banjeer Baba we descend on another trek which follows to Mashaal, Jehangir, Malkidam to Aboha.
