Itinerary description
The park is open from 04:30 until 22:00 every day. (But the MRT only starts at 06:00).
A gentle early morning stroll around Lumphini Park in Bangkok, a peaceful oasis in the city. Around the lake area you will see many monitor lizards - some are quite large! They are not known to attack humans and they only eat fish - but it's advisable to keep a reasonable distance away. The park is a lovely place; usually busy with locals eating breakfast, doing Tai-Chi, walking and jogging. Cycling is only allowed between the hours of 10:00 and 15:00.
I took the MRT to Si Lom; take exit 1 which is marked Lumphini Park. I returned on the MRT from Lumphini station, exit 3. Of course you could do it whichever way round you like, and there are many routes around the park. It's a nice change from the bustling city.

Keep a look out for the monitor lizards - there's lots of them, but not always easy to see
