Bamboo - Jhinu

Seventh stage of the ten that make up this trekking .

We undo the road made the previous days and continue down ... or so it seemed, but we have to cross a valley again, go up to Chhomrong.
Our final destination is the spectacular (not for beauty) Jhinu Hot Springs.

0 min

We start the route in Bamboo, a place where you can spend the night. We will take the downhill path, always heading south on the left bank of the Modi river.

5 min

After an easy start, slightly descending, we reach a flight of stairs.

We will gain something more than one hundred meters in little more than three hundred.

Then the road becomes flat again, with slight ups and downs.

45 min

We passed through Sinuwa, lodge that gave us shelter in the fourth stage.

The descent from now on becomes patent.

1 hour 15 min

Bhanuwa receives us. The road makes a break, and a few meters later we cross Tilche.

1 hour 35 min

We reached the bottom of the valley. We cross the Chhomro River again on the footbridge.
From this moment we start the ascent to Chhomrong for a fairly good flight of stairs.

We will cross many fields and buildings that indicate a high concentration of people and places for the walker.

2 hours 5 min

We cross the town of Chhomrong and, almost as we leave it, we turn left facing our steps towards the Modi river, direction of our route.

2 hours 15 min

We are at a crossroads. To our right, the road to Tadapani that would take us to Poonhill, and in front of us a descent to Jhinu.

We descend towards Jhinu by a long flight of stairs that goes zig-zagging on the mountain.

2 hours 30 min

We finish the route in Jhinu, a coquettish lodge very close to the hot springs located to touch the Modi river.

From the lodge to the hot springs there is approximately one kilometer, and although it is necessary to pay (less than 5 euros) you can stay all the time you want enjoying water at the pleasant temperature of 36 and 40 degrees depending on the pool (watch out for the leeches).

Far away are the "high" mountains.
