Today we finally head to Concordia, the heart of Karakoram.
Shortly after leaving Goro I, the Masherbrum shows us its top and field 4, where there are tents.
There are also those that I nicknamed "Baltoro boletus" very common at these altitudes.
The day runs between ups and downs on the Baltoro glacier. Let's go slowly because we are acclimatizing and because the lungs are not enough for more, let's not fool ourselves.
We reached Concordia without difficulty. Even with the peaks partially hidden by the clouds, the environment is overwhelming. In the middle of the afternoon it clears up, and leaves us speechless. Crystal Peak, Marble Peak, Broad Peak, some Ghaserbrum, Broad Peak, Miter Peak, and the great star of Concordia: K2.
Tomorrow, August 14, which coincides with Pakistan's independence day, we rest in Concordia to acclimatize.
