BALI: Munduk waterfalls

Beautiful route visiting the waterfalls near Munduk organized by our accommodation (Munduk Moding Plantation). We started at our resort walking for more than a kilometer along a very little traveled road until we left it on a somewhat narrow and unmarked path (like almost all of them in Indonesia) but in good condition that crosses coffee crops growing under some trees and also by nutmeg tree crops. We descend little by little towards the bottom of the valley passing near some homes of local farmers. An idyllic landscape until we reach the bottom of the valley where we immediately find the first waterfall "Golden Valley Waterfall" that we see at a certain distance. We continue down the side of the ravine to go towards Red Coral Waterfall, a spectacular and well-known waterfall that you can get close to right below. After a good time enjoying this waterfall, we continued down the valley to visit the third waterfall "Melanting Waterfall", also beautiful, and then we began to climb towards the town of Munduk to finish the trail. In our final stretch we passed through impressive forests and Nutmeg tree crops and we were lucky enough to see farmers collecting these precious spices. Upon arriving in Munduk, we are picked up by a vehicle that takes us back to Munduk Moding Plantation. A spectacular and unmissable route on the island of Bali.

Preciosa ruta visitando las cataratas cercanas a Munduk organizada por nuestro hospedaje (Munduk Moding Plantation). Comenzamos en nuestro resort caminando durante más de un kilómetro por una carretera muy poco transitada hasta que la abandonamos por un sendero algo estrecho y sin señalizar (como casi todos en Indonesia) pero en buen estado que atraviesa cultivos de cafe creciendo bajo algunos árboles y también por cultivos de árboles de nuez moscada. Vamos bajando poco a poco hacia el fondo del valle pasando cerca de algunas viviendas de granjeros y agricultores locales. Un paisaje idílico hasta llegar al fondo del valle donde en seguida nos encontramos con la primera cascada "Golden Valley Waterfall" que observamos a cierta distancia. Continuamos bajando por un margen del barranco para ir hacia Red Coral Waterfall, una caída de agua espectacular y muy conocida a la cual te puedes acercar hasta debajo mismo. Tras un buen rato disfrutando de ésta cascada, continuamos valle abajo para visitar la tercera cascada "Melanting Waterfall" también preciosa y a continuación comenzamos a subir hacia el pueblo de Munduk para finalizar el sendero. En nuestro tramo final pasamos por bosques impresionantes y cultivos de árboles de Nuez Moscada y tuvimos la suerte de ver a los campesinos recolectando éstas preciadas especias. Al llegar a Munduk, nos recoge un vehículo que nos lleva de vuelta a Munduk Moding Plantation. Una ruta espectacular e imperdible en la isla de Bali.
