Surprisingly off the beaten track of spectacular beauty, with 360° summit views of both the Maligne Lake Valley and those across the Athabasca River.
At the top you find a vast meadow full of squirrels, pikes and marmots. Very relaxing.
The ascent is not complicated, but it is long and constant. To do it there are two options: the long less steep one, or the harder shortcut. We take the shortcut.
On the way back, we extended the excursion by doing a small circular route through the Moose Lake, without the luck of finding any moose, but the lake is beautiful, especially with the mirror effect.
