Itinerary description
This is a popular, simple, and beautiful trail in the mountains of Sri Lanka.
Despite the fact that it is necessary to get there from Nuwara Eliya in the early morning, before dawn, it is definitely worth it.
The trail is located on the territory of the national park, so it is tedious to pay for admission. The parking lot has a simple cafe.
Before the start, the rangers will answer questions and ask you to get rid of plastic bags and give paper ones instead - it's cool!
The trail itself is working to go in any direction, I think it does not greatly affect the beauty.
There are even toilets along the way, and on the trail you can meet tourist police with a supply of water. This is a service!
I definitely want to go back to Horton Plains to go through the loop in the other direction and climb the Kirigalpotta.
