Itinerary description
Starts and ends at the Bahnhof. We began by going along the street towards the river and through the pretty Altstadt, stopping just for a coffee. We then walked on a series of paths along the east bank of the Isar. The path climbs slightly as it rises up the steep river bank. After a couple of kilometres, we took a path to the right to the Forellenhof. All the paths are forested. The Forellenhof is a trout restaurant with its own trout farm. You can see the trout in the ponds outside. It's got a nice atmosphere and decor and the food is good, but not exceptional. Worth visiting for sure.
We returned to the Kraftwerk station to cross the river.
We had intended to continue north on the west bank of the Isar and then turn to Konigsdorf where you can get a bus to Wolfratshausen, but it was raining hard and we decided to return to Bad Tölz.
We walked this time on the west bank of the river on a mixture of road and path back to Bad Tölz and then back to the Bahnhof.
