Itinerary description
This is a nice little hike uphill, through a beautiful beech forest to the ruins of the Löwenburg, with great views over the Rhine valley.
If you want to make a full day of it, you can combine it with a visit of one of the changing exhibitions at the "Bahnhof Rolandseck" and a gourmet lunch or dinner at the restaurant Vieux Sinzig.
This is our recommendation for a memorable day:
- In the morning:
Visit an exhibition at the "Bahnhof Rolandseck" (www.arpmuseum.org). We had a fantastic time seeing the exhibition "Das verlängerte Bild" by Ursula Wevers.
- For lunch:
Not to be missed by gourmets is Jean-Marie Dumaine's restaurant "Vieux Sinzig" (www.vieux-sinzig.com) in Sinzig, of course. We highly recommed the "Menu Végétarien"!
- In the afternoon:
Do this walk.
