Itinerary description
Guided hike organized by the Tourist office of Bad Hofgastein. We went by taxi to the start in the hut Rastötzenalm, where the same taxi would pick us up at the end of the hike.
The hike up is along an easy and narrow path which crosses lush alpine meadows up to the summit, the Gamskarkogel at 2.467 m. The view is amazing, with a clear visibility of the highest peaks close to us.
There is a hut in the summit, where you can have lunch, a beer, a coffee,...
The hike back is on the other side of the hill up to the initial point at the hut Rastötzenalm, where you can also eat and drink during another deserved break.
The excursion is easy and the views are worthy.
