Itinerary description
We parked the car at the free parking at the Grüner Baum (Kötschachtal).
The original idea was to do the round hike to the hut Poserhöhe, hiking up the sloped, shorter and more difficulty black path and hiking down the easier path under pines forest, even you can follow enterely the wide trail for vehicles up to the initial point.
However today we were not well equiped (no mountain boots, no walking sticks) and after one kilometre we decided to come back to the initial point and use the another easier path, because there was a slippery crossing by a high waterfall, which we considered too dangerous.
The hike up by this easier path is also demanding and you need to be fit, although there is no risk and no technical difficulties.
When you reach the hut Poserhöhe, you can choose your reward among a variety of homemade milk drinks, cheeses, cold meats and desserts.
Finally, for the return you just have to follow the same easy path and in one hour you will reach the parking.
Recomendable hike with a very good hut.
