Itinerary description
Good way to spend a day off 🪶
You can get from Tbilisi to Kojori by bus #10 and #106. But it`s more convenient to take a taxi to the end of Azeula Street, for example, to Azeula 28 (from the Vake it cost 20 lari for us). And already from there take a little walk until the start of the trek.
After an ancient and super atmospheric fortress, the path goes through the deciduous forest. We were there in the fall - it is very beautiful, calm, mist, many paints and mushrooms 🍁🌿🍄
Further, part of the path lies through the Kojori itself - not the most peaceful plot, but in the town too there is something to see. On the main street, near the fountain there are two stores and pharmacy.
Further the path goes to the Udzo monastery. It offers a nice panoramic view. From Udzo to the Turtle Lake we walked about 2.5 hours without a rush. On the way we met mountain bikers, haikers and other activity lovers. There are also several places with pleasant views where you can relax and have a snack. With the approach to the city, pointers, arbors and benches will appear.
From the Turtle Lake, you can take a taxi home, go down to the Vake Park on a cableway or on foot 👣
