Itinerary description

We did this trail during 2020 summer when the East part of the Glacier NP was closed due to COVID-19. The Avalanche trail is really busy for that reason as many families are looking for beautiful hikes which are reasonably demanding and are doable for kids and elderly. This is a beautiful hike but you have to start really early. We arrived to the parking lot before 8Am but couldn’t park our car. We ended up parking 2 miles down the road which were added to our hike. Nevertheless this is a great hike and the lake at its top is worth the effort.
