Itinerary description
This is hike No.4 in the book 'Hiking and Biking in Serbia by Katharina Haberli Harker. There are so many trails on Avala - easy to take the wrong one. I tried to take photos of where to turn left or right, but after a while gave up because there were just so many forks. But I don't think it matters too much - you are not far from Belgrade, the mountain is not so big and the aim is to go up to the summit - enjoy the views - and then come down.
Go on a windy day for good views from Avala tower. It will blow all the pollution away. We could see all the way to Vrsac hills, Fruska Gora and beyond.
