Itinerary description
For a quick glimpse into this gorge, take this out and back easy walk from the car park start of the trail. The scenery is amazing and its remote location and geography makes for some interesting walking we did not expect on Cyprus. For this route, no real protection from the sun is needed - just look around and up above, but take a bottle of water and some snacks and enjoy the serenity and coolness of the gorge at this trails turn around point

Easily my favorite trail on Cyprus (thus far). You can take your car in as far as the mouth of the gorge if it has high clearance and 4 wheel drive. The short hike itself is stunning with many species of birds and if you are quiet and lucky, mufflons doing their high wire act on the slopes above. Once you get to the landslide, you can turn around or hike over the slide and up to the mesa. DO NOT attempt to do a loop by coming back the southern gorge unless you are a serious hiker with equipment for rappelling.
