Itinerary description
La borne géodésique qui se trouve sur la randonnée ressemble un peu à un bonhomme de fer...Dans la région, tout le monde connait" le bonhomme de fer". Le bois de la Houssière est le plus vaste de moyenne Belgique et était jadis connectée à la forêt de Soignes. On y trouve de nombreuses sablières qui ne sont plus exploitées. Les meilleurs parkings sont à Henripont et on trouve restaurants et cafés à Braine-Le-Comte et Ecaussinnes. Le parcours est réalisable en VTT. Les sous bois sont connus pour leurs tapis de fleurs de printemps: Jonquilles jeunes, anémones blanches et jacinthes bleus. Les bois sont donc fort différents suivant les saisons. On peut allonger la balade à souhait. Avec un peu de chances, vous croiserez un chevreuil.
