Itinerary description
Aussie Camino - The MacKillop/Woods Way - Lake Mombeong to Nelson.
Note this recorded trail went directly to the coast/beach from Lake Mombeong, but the better and easier walking trail is along the very southern edge of Lake Mombeong and westward through the dunes to the beach; this easier trail is also clearly signposted as part of the GSWW (Great South West Walk). There is too much beach walking if the beach route is taken from the Lake. However several snakes were observed (by those who walked around the edge of the lake) in September when snakes are seeking food and sunshine.
