Itinerary description
Auburn State Recreation Area ( http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=502 ) Rovie Point area: A loop starting at Robbie's point coming back on part of Western States trail. This loop could be started at WST mile 0 instead. Much of this trail is on one of those terrace roads created by the dam investigation. The current lower part of this loop follows some electric lines. The lower trail is not that interesting. However, once at the road, you have go up to get back to Auburn or down to get to the river. I am just adding this loop to document some additional trail connections.
Although I have marked this for hiking, it is very popular with mountain bikes and horses. Part of the upper section of the loop is single track marked as no bikes.
