Itinerary description
Confluence area: This is the trail from the confluence to the lake clementine dam. It is a multi-use trail: mountain bikes, hikers and horse riders. Most of this trail is a dirt road, except for some single track under foresthill bridge. I recommend this hike for fall and winter, because from gate 140 to the dam is the paved road to the boat dock. In summer the road will have boat traffic on it.

A very nice hike. I prefer to do it on weekdays, I imagine it gets crowded on weekends.
That is for sure. The entire confluence area ... no hands bridge, training hill, quarry etc is so crowded lately that it is unbearable.
