Itinerary description
O.S. Map 74. Walk commences at the Kings Yard. From Cahir, take the R639 towards Mitchelstown. Before you come to Kilbeheny be on the lookout for a right turn, signposted Galtymore/Kings Yard. Follow brown signposts for trailhead. Ample parking available.
This walk is a mixture of muddy trails, forest, open mountain and public road with easy crossings of a number of streams. The walk never goes above 400 meters Allow about 4 hours in total, including lunch by the river.The first part of the walk is in County Tipperary before crossing into County Limerick later on.
