Itinerary description

A decent walk through the nice town of Atenas and an area to the south. Park on any of the streets near the town square and then head south to the left of the church (about 5 blocks). Turn left on Avenida 10 / Calle Nueva (no markings) and continue south as you pass by the Technical college (it should be on your right). The windy gravel road (no traffic) leads on to Radial Atenas at 4.3 km (one of the main routes leading into the town). After walking further south on the main road for a couple hundred meters I turned left and circled back through some neighborhoods and a small place called San Martin. Roads were kind of busy but as you got close to Atenas there was a sidewalk.

Some nice views but not a lot of opportunities for good photos, there always seemed to be something blocking your view (trees, hydro lines, etc). Lots of stores in Atenas if you need any supplies as well as a few other stores on the climb back north into town.
