The neighbors warned us that we probably wouldn’t be able to find the trail once we left pavement and then dirt road. They were right. We followed the trail off the dirt road into an overgrown meadow. We could see sort of where the trail might go, but pushing our way through waist high vegetation only took os to the tree/bush line with no observable breaks. We could hear the river, but no way to get there. So we turned around.
