Itinerary description
Beautiful and very picturesque trail along the biggest European waterfall. In your every step you may feel and see the power of water. The trail was created more than a century ago and is maintained in a great condition.
The overall trial is long as it goes further above waterfall to the Krimml Ache Valley and along the river. It would've been very nice to explore but we didn't have much time unfortunately.
NB access to the trail is chargeable.
TERRAIN: going up all the way to the top ad then back, the part from the middle to the top waterfall is more steep but not long. Wide gravel road most of the way.
SEASON: seems like summer is the best time, however when we were there it was too hot and ascending was tiresome. Plenty of shade as the trail is in the lush forest.
SIGNS: a lot of various signs; plenty of resting places and provisioning points, civilization is all around.
KIDS: kids and dogs are welcome; just assess your kid stamina.
