Itinerary description
Whenever you are in the North Armenia, there you find a lot of trails surrounding it's center - Dilijan town ( Դիլիջան) and this is one of these trails starting from there.
Some information about this trail.
--- This trail is a part of Trans Coucaisan trail that passes through Armenia.
--- The trail starts from Parz lake * and lead to Dilijan town through forest and hills.
--- Last part of the trail you'll enter ''Drunken Forest'' (this is another easy trail, which you'll complete during this one).
--- This trail is blazed but I made some waypoint which may help you not to lost the right direction as some blazed marks may be vanished.
~ It's a long trail and there are a lot of other trails that make it difficult to differentiate the right direction.
~ In the middle of the trail you have to turn off the main - wide trail to the narrow path, which is not always visible, as this trail is not well-trodden path (it's not very popular trail among locals, because they get from Dilijan to Parz lake by the paved road, not hiking).
~ It's a very humid destination, so blazed marks can not survive here long, that's one of the reasons you'll lack for the signs.
~ So having GPS is a necessity here.
--- The right season for this trail is summer and autumn, though the middle spring is a perfect fit too.
I won't suggest hiking here in winter, as generally the paths are snow- blocked and it will make this not-easy hike way more challenging.
* Whenever you get to the lake ( Պարզ լիճ ), try not to be there on the weekends, as this place from the virgin natural beauty has turned to a entertainment spot for locals over last 5 years, and now it's overloaded, especially on summer weekends.
