Itinerary description
|
We park the car at the bicycle rental of the Tissington Trail, but we put on our walking shoes for a walk through the fields above Ashbourne. From the hamlet of Mapleton we follow the River Dove for a while. In the next hamlet of Thorpe we look for The Old Dog pub for a well-deserved break. On the way back we follow the Tissington Trail which goes over the former railway line from Ashbourne to Buxton.
