Ascent to Koh Mountain in West Pokot, Kenya.
Information about this mountain is scarce and climbing it is not difficult but it takes time. In fact, we didn’t make it to the top for lack of time.
You can reach up to 1300m by motorcycle. We, by car, parked in a small shade at 1000m, shortly after crossing the Weiwei River by a new iron and asphalt bridge.
The ascent gives no respite; it always goes up and has an average slope of 18%. You need to bring water and food because, although some family plots intersect, they do not always have water and food to offer or sell.
The use of a guide is highly recommended (at Marich Pass Field Studies they can provide it).
